Fresh Track Friday's vol.1 - Shabazz Palaces

Welcome to the first of a brand new weekly installment post called, "Fresh Track Friday's". As you may have guessed, we over here at The Highest Culture will be posting up some solid music every Friday that were feeling at the time. Some new, some old, some classics, some underground, and so on.  Cause music really IS what makes the world go round.

For Vol.1, we bring you an "underground" artist coming outta Seattle, that goes by the name of, Shabazz Palaces. I put the word underground in quotations because Shabazz Palaces is a.k.a "Butterfly" from the classic 90's hip-hop group Digable Planets. If you haven't heard of either, you need to do yourself a favor and check both out right about now! Now going solo, Shabazz Palaces brings forth intriguing lyrics over crazy ominous melodic notes and smashing bass lines, making a 'weird' style all his own in hip-hop.  This dude can not go without notice, and for that, he's kicking off the new "Fresh Track Friday" weekly posts.

Check this compilation of few of his tracks in his video short called, "Belhaven Meridian"

Here's a track off 1 of the 2 LP's he dropped last summer called, 32 Leaves Dipped in Blackness Making Clouds Forming Altered Carbon, off his self titled "Shabazz Palaces" EP.
